About Us
The Organization
One of the oldest neighborhood associations in Pasadena, the East Arroyo Neighborhood Association (EARA) began nearly 50 years ago when neighbors organized to halt the condominium development being planned for the area north of the Gamble House. Not long after that the EARA worked closely with the city to have the Prospect Boulevard Bridge replaced when the existing bridge was determined to be unsafe.
Today the East Arroyo Residents Association (EARA) is a non-profit neighborhood organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life within our boundaries. Our perimeters are: North of the 134 Freeway, West of the 210 Freeway, and East of the Arroyo Seco flood channel, an area that includes much of the history of Pasadena including the Rose Bowl, the Gamble House, multiple noted architectural and historical buildings and the Pasadena History Museum itself.
The association serves over 1800 homes and residents and includes several private and public schools, and multiple recreation opportunities including Kidspace Childrens Museum, Brookside Golf Course, Pasadena Aquatic Center, and numerous hiking, biking and horse trails. The EARA continues to provide residents of the east arroyo with a means to address neighborhood problems and issues, such as traffic, parking, beautification and safety, as well as to organize social events each year. Nominal annual membership fees plus donations by film companies using the neighborhoods fund the organization.

This program identifies resources within your immediate neighborhood which can be rallied to provide assistance. It also identifies homes with special needs for help.
